In the 2026 rankings, OAU recorded an overall score of 47.1, representing a remarkable 16.9 per cent improvement over its 2025 performance. The university advanced from the 1501+ category to the 1001–1500 global band while increasing its participation in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals from four to six.
This achievement did not happen by accident.
